Houshang Seyhoun
Houshang Seyhoun was born on August 31, 1299 in Tehran. This Iranian architect and painter, professor of architecture and former head of the Faculty of Fine Arts University of Tehran Was. Houshang Seyhoun was born into the music family. His grandfather, Mirza Abdullah Farahani, was the founder of traditional music known as the father of traditional Persian music. His mother, Moulood Khanum, the Tar and the Three Tar and the late Ahmed Ebadi, the great three-tier master, is Seyhoun’s uncle. Avicenna’s tomb, the first architectural work of Houshang Seyhoun
On his return to Iran at the age of 25, he designed his first architectural work, a monument to the tomb of Avicenna1945. In 1945, during the holding of an architectural competition for the tomb of Avicenna, with the favorable views of Andre Gödard and Mohsen Foroughi, the design of Houshang Seyhoun was chosen as the best design contest and the construction of the building will end in 1954. This work was registered on May 21, 1997 as one of the national works of Iran.

Houshang Seyhoun is known as the man of enduring monuments. The design of the Toos Museum in 1968 and the building of Sepah Bank in the artillery square are other important designs of Houshang Seyhoun.
Among other works by Houshang Seyhoun, such as the buildings of the Mapping Organization of the whole country, Korous Akhavan Nursery Factory, Morshti Meal Factory, Yaghighabad Educational Complex, Asia Cinema, Central Cinema, Kanaderadi Factory (Zamzam current) in Tehran and Ahvaz, Ice Age Factory of Akhavan and 150 residential projects can also be mentioned.
And in his architectural style he considered logic more than anything else. Seyhoun was a planet that spoke in the dimensional world of mysterious meanings, and the meanings and theoretical and existential theories of the great ones, the architect and designer of the tomb of each of them, have embodied in their tombs. For example, in 1959, Tomb was calculated and designed by Hakim Omar Khayyam based on Khayyam’s mathematical and trigonometric principles.

In his testament, Seyhoun demanded that a foundation named after his children, Maryam and Nader Seyhoun, be set up to hold all his paintings and designs, and eventually all of these works would be donated to a museum in Iran.
