Walnut Travertine Stone
Walnut Travertine Stone
Walnut travertine stone, also known as tree-trunk travertine stone, is extracted from several different quarries, including walnut travertine quarries in Azarshahr, Tafresh, and Kashan. Walnut or tree-trunk travertine is cut in two forms: vein-cut (wavy) and cross-cut (wave-free). Travertine stone is processed using various methods, including guillotine, polished, leathered, and pitched (badبر). The application of Azarshahr travertine stone covers all interior and external spaces and building interior decoration. The reason for its use in all these spaces is the special texture of this stone, which can serve as an excellent insulation against cold, heat, and sound.
In Iran, no specific criterion has been defined as a standard for stone grading. For this reason, every building stone manufacturer has its own specific definition. Production quality, including cutting and polishing, does not cause a difference in determining the stone's grade, but determining the premium grade of the stone depends on the stone's color sorting and quality. Hence, travertine stone manufacturers also have their own specific definitions for grading based on their designated criteria, separating and grading travertine stone through coding due to its various sorts.
